PC/ ABS alloy is a more dimensionally stable material than both of its components individually. The high heat distortion of the alloy is an improvement over ABS, while the low temperature impact resistance gives it an advantage over polycarbonate. PC/ABS alloy derives its impact resistance from ABS and PC, the alloy strength and stiffness is also compared to both its derivatives. Its heat resistance is superior to ABS but less than PC; the alloy's flame retardance property is more stable in processing than ABS, it has low temperature impact and ductility and has a superior processability to PC.
